"Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it." - Proverbs 22:6
Youth Religious Education. Educating our youth in the Catholic Faith is an important role in the Catholic Church. Our Religious Education program is only a small part of the child's faith formation. Parents should take their marital and baptismal obligations of teaching their children the Catholic faith seriously. It is the divine responsibility of parents to guide their children to live the Catholic faith in their daily lives and through frequent participation of the sacraments of the Mass and Confession. Our program is also a learning place for parents as they are invited to learn or "refresh" their knowledge along with their children.
Students. Our C.C.D. (Confraternity of Christian Doctrine) Program helps children grow in their faith by teaching the basics of the Roman Catholic Faith. The C.C.D. program runs most Sundays from 9:45-10:45 during the school year. The classes are for children in grades Kindergarten through Confirmation age. Students are typically Confirmed in 9th grade but can join the program up to 11th grade. The program includes preparing for the Sacraments of Penance, First Holy Communion, and the Sacrament of Confirmation.
Parents.—Please join us on Sundays while your students enjoy their Religious Education classes. We provide pastries and coffee to enjoy while you meet other parents, ask questions, and "talk-laugh-learn". Several times a year we have Family Catechesis Classes. These "classes" are wonderful opportunities to share and learn more about your faith as a family.
