Knights of Columbus Charity Golf Tournament
May 19th at Crumpin-Fox Golf Course in Bernardston MA
This year the Greenfield Knights of Columbus, Council #133 will be hosting our 10th Annual Charity Golf Tournament at the Crumpin-Fox Golf Course in Bernardston on May 19th
The tournament started 10 years ago at the Country Club of Greenfield with 43 golfers and has grown over the years to where we now have 140-150 golfers playing.
We are now soliciting sponsors for this event. Our sponsorships range from $100 to $1500. Many of our supporters have been with us for all ten years and we will be recognizing them at this year’s tournament.
The tournament proceeds are the primary means of funding our charitable giving during the year. Last year’s giving included: 4 high school scholarships, contributions to several ”Feed the Hungry” campaigns, local sports teams, Baystate Hospital’s cancer fundraiser (“Wheeling for Healing”), the Greenfield YMCA Annual Campaign, the annual diocesan drive, Youth Group Camps and the local “Warm the Children” campaign. Significant donations were made to the recent Eucharistic Conference held in Springfield and the Franklin County Community Meals Program.
Additionally, we are also collecting donations for our raffles.
This year's Raffles:
- “mini-raffle” where a person buys a sheet of raffle tickets and deposits a ticket in the prize of their choice. We also have large raffle with larger prizes where people can buy 1 raffle ticket for $5 or a book of 5 tickets for $20. Prizes this year include a $300 gas card, $250 worth of lottery tickets, a restaurant prize with a collection of gift cards to area restaurants, 2 golfing prizes, a voucher for a Cape Cod hotel worth $400, and an entry into our 2024 golf tournament worth over $500. We are still working on a sports-related prize and a “Taste of the Valley” prize featuring items from local merchants.
- a Silent Auction with four incredible offerings, including two items involving Patriots tickets, a plane ride over Franklin County and a LA Kings hockey jersey signed by the whole team.
It takes many people to plan and run an effort like this and we are certainly grateful to the hard working members of our Golf Committee, but we can use more help. We would certainly welcome anyone that could contribute financially or with their time. During the tournament we rely on a number of volunteers to help with raffle sales or to monitor the contests that we run. If you are able to volunteer please contact Jay Dillon at 413-325-5620.
